In a town famed for the quality of its curry, Malabar stands out as one of my favourites. The food is excellent, they give very good freebies, the guy on the phone (and in house on the odd occasion I've called in) is dead friendly, and there is a wide range of dishes that would keep anyone from the mild to the asbestos-gulleted happy. I would particularly recommend the Bengal beef for folks who like the heat, or the Makani chicken for those with more taste but less capacity for burning. Top, top curry house!
