Julie came out to see me for a quotation for 7 made to measure wooden Venetian blinds for my new house. Julie was very nice and even though the quote was slightly higher than a couple of other companies I was impressed with her and the promised level of service so I placed an order the next day. The blinds were due to be fitted and an appointment was arranged, however this was cancelled at short notice because they were too busy... The blinds were eventually installed on 11th June. However all of the pelmets were cut so crooked they hardly fitted into the window frames and looked awful. A number of acorns were also damaged. The 'gentleman' who fitted the blinds told me he cut the pelmets himself and "that is what you expect when you buy the cheap version" These blinds cost over £600 so I hardly think they were cheap. I emailed the office as it was a Saturday and couldn't get hold of anyone on the phone. It was then agreed the pelmets would be replaced for ones that were cut using machinery by the suppliers, NOT Concorde Blinds. The first date was missed because the fitter was stuck at another job so we rescheduled. The guy then turned up at the new appointment and said that the pelmets had not been cut so he could either cut them himself again or send them back to get done properly. I requested the latter. I then received a call saying they had now been cut properly and were ready to be installed. I asked who cut them and even though he tried to avoid answering the question he eventually confirmed he had cut them and they were "perfect". Not what had been agreed but I said I would inspect them when they were installed. It was agreed that I would pay the final balance (£300 - £25 discount because I referred my next door neighbour who also placed a large order with them) after the alterations had been completed. The next appointment was missed because they were too busy... Finally six and a half weeks later, the replacement pelmets and acorns were installed. They are still no straight and actually have larger gaps than before. Oh and one of the threads broke so that had to be replaced too. Even though they took ages to sort these issues out and kept missing appointments they called me the same day for payment. They didn't even ask me if I was now happy with the quality, nor have they responded to my message to Liam over a week ago asking him whether he thinks their service represents good value for money. I wrote an email of complaint but still haven't received even so much as an acknowledgement. I would NEVER use this company again!   28-07-16
